Galvalume®
Galvalume® is an Aluminum-Zinc alloy coating
that is applied to the steel substrate in a hot dip bath at the
steel mill. This coating ensures corrosion resistance and long
life, with an available 20 year warranty**. Galvalume® has a
highly reflective, silver spangled color which weathers in
unique patterns over the life of the roof for a rustic, natural
appearance.* Galvalume® is the successor to the Galvanized
coating that has been in use since the 1800's. Galvalume® has a
life expectancy of up to 9 time longer than comparable
Galvanized coatings and has become the industry standard for
metal roofing materials.

Galvanized
Galvanized is a Zinc coating that is applied
to the steel substrate in a hot dip bath at the steel mill. This
coating ensures corrosion resistance and long life. Galvanized
has a highly reflective, silver spangled color which weathers in
unique patterns over the life of the roof for a rustic, natural
appearance.* Galvanized coatings are usually more reflective
with a larger spangle pattern which is sometimes preferred over
the more uniform Galvalume® spangle.

Paint Grip
Paint Grip is pre-treated at the mill for
subsequent painting in the as-received condition. The sheet goes
through a phospatizing process which produces a deposit of
hydrated zync on the galvanized surface, resulting in a dull
gray appearance. This coating provides a good adherent base for
painting, and also extends the life of the painted surface.
Paint Grip is intended to be painted and the unfinished surface
may weather unevenly*

Copper
Copper has been used in a variety of
exterior applications for centuries. This unfinished material
won't rust and is easy to tool. Left unfinished, copper ages
with a natural patina. This is a premium material with a high
cost, but it comes with time tested durability and a one of a
kind look.

Aluminum and Stainless Steel
Aluminum and Stainless steel substrates are
also available. These materials have a high resistance to
corrosion and are often used in coastal areas where rust is a
greater concern. Both of these substrates have a higher cost
than traditional steel roofing.
